Tinsley Steparator

The Steparator™ is a unique screening machine that features a patented, stepped deck, which results in a very high open area per unit of surface area. The machine substantially increases through-put without the risk of blinding or plugging. Oversize material is oriented in direction of flow and rejected, thus improving uniformity of accepted product size.

The stepped deck is fastened to a vibrating frame, which is driven by a low-horsepower, vibrating motor, typically 2 to 5 h.p. The vibrating frame assembly sits in a rugged support frame but is isolated from it by vibration mounts, which absorb the shaking action. As a result, only a simple support structure is required for mounting the machine in service.

The Steparator is sized for the application. It can either be supplied with a single, top deck with appropriate aperture size for “scalping” oversized material or with two or three decks equipped with smaller openings for producing multiple products and/or for removal of fines. Lower decks are easily accessible.

The result is a high-performance machine, inexpensively installed and with minimal maintenance requirements. The only rotating part is the vibrating motor. The motor and the vibration mounts are standard, mass-produced catalog items.
